Group exhibition “Het Friese paard in beeld” museum Opsterlân

From August 11th till November 5th I will join the Group Exhibition “Het Friese paard in beeld” in Museum Opsterlân, Hoofdstraat 59, Gorredijk in the Netherlands. I’ll show my Frisian horse Thyra as a well conserved bogbody made of only peat. I made her when I was Artist in Residence in Leeuwarden a mounth before. The opening session will be on August 11th at 1.oo pm.

“The Amsterdam Trail 2018” from 25- 27 of May

From 25 – 27 of May The Amsterdam Trail will take place, tribal art galleries havee invited artists to exhibit their work in between the ethnographic objects. The Trail is a walking route from the Spiegelkwartier to the Amstelveld. Peatart Gallery in the Kerkstraat 76 exhibits works of Dioni who works with primal material Peat/turf. This exhibition “Dreamtime” tells about the story of the forgotten people in the marsh of Soosaare in central Estonial. She is inspired by primitive cultures and their habits.

July 2018 Artist in Residence “working on a Frysian horse”

In July Dioni will be Artist in Residence for museum Opsterlân. She will be working on a Frysian Horse made from peat. People can see how she works with this new material.
The horse will be exhibited in August in the same Museum.
